I just came across wordpress.com after seeing a GigaOm post re: Toni Schneider. I took me about half a second to check out wordpress.com, then I subsquently signed up and started blogging.
I’m off Blogger.com. Lack of trackbacks and the use of the weird “backlinks,” drove me away. Google, you can’t dictate terms to the masses despite your market cap. In fact, such behavior is a great way to squander said cap.
